Born in Hutchinson, Dr.
Neel returns to Kansas from Columbia, SC, where he worked in private cardiology practice.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and served
both an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Arkansas for
Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Board certified in internal medicine and cardiology, Dr.
Neel completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Medical University of South
Carolina in Charleston.
He spent a third year in Worcester, MA, training in echocardiography. Additionally, he
worked as a clinical instructor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and St.
Vincent's Hospital.
Dr. Neel is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a fellow of the American
College of Chest Physicians. He practices clinical cardiology, with emphasis in stress,
transesophogeal echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
