Carrie
Platt, ARNP, has always had an interest in medicine. Out of high school she
studied to become an Emergency Medical Technician and volunteered for the
Mulvane EMS. Meanwhile Carrie worked as a medical assistant while attending
nursing school. She graduated with honors from Butler County Community College
in 2000 with an Associated Degree in Nursing. Upon graduation she worked as a
cardiac nurse on the Telemetry Unit at St. Joseph
Hospital, during which she also worked as a hospice nurse.
In 2003, Carrie started
at Galichia Heart Hospital in the
cardiovascular lab where she worked side by side with Doctors Galichia,
Boxberger, Bowles, Macander, and Ahmed as they performed angiography procedures.
In 2007 she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Southwestern
College in Winfield KS.
Carrie matriculated to
University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where she completed her Masters
degree in Nursing as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. She then joined the
Galichia Medical Group as a hospital based Nurse Practitioner.
In her spare time Carrie
enjoys spending time with her family and watching her sons play soccer. |
